Quimmco
Grupo Quimmco is an industrial consortium based in Monterrey, Mexico
with businesses in the automotive components, chemicals, and construction
industries. The group, through its operating subsidiaries, manufactures
its products in Mexico and sells them in domestic and international
markets. Its exports account for about 50% of its total consolidated
sales. The group has approximately 4,700 employees.
Grupo Quimmco is a closely held corporation founded in 1994. Its
companies have long standing experience manufacturing well-recognized
products that compete and lead in domestic and export markets. In
some of its lines of business, Grupo Quimmco has as partners world
class industry leaders in their respective field.Over the last years,
Grupo Quimmco has experienced significant growth. This growth has
resulted primarily from the development of new businesses and acquisitions
in the automotive components industry.
Corporate
Structure
Grupo Quimmco has its principal operating subsidiaries organized
in three major divisions:
- The Automotive Components Division,
consisting of businesses that manufacture and market agricultural
tractors & implements, heavy-duty truck axles, brakes, drivelines
& other components, trailer axles & brakes, forged i-beams
& crankshafts, precision machined crankshafts, gray &
ductile iron castings, aluminum castings, and molds, fixtures
& cutting tools as well as providing machining services to
the automotive industry.
- The Chemical Division, with
businesses that manufacture and market raw materials and resins
for the polyurethane industry.
- The Construction Division,
with businesses engaged in the construction of affordable housing
and the design, manufacture and sale of office furniture and furniture
systems.
